XenomatiX launched the next generation true-solid-state LiDAR

20 April 2021

XenomatiX, a pioneer of true-solid-state LiDARs for ADAS, autonomous vehicles, and other road applications, including construction and maintenance, is launching the next generation of XenoLidar-X. As the latest true-solid-state solution from XenomatiX, the new XenoLidar-X is designed to meet the performance requirements needed by today's leading OEMs.

XenoLidar-X, a standalone, off-the-shelf solution with no moving parts, is modular in design and fit for centralized or distributed integration via two distinct versions: Xpert for long-range applications and Xact for mid-range applications.

XenoLidar-X provides a simultaneous optical output power increase and an electrical power consumption decrease by a factor of 10, using a unique concept of performant global shutter XenomatiX calls “multi-beam.” As a robust, small, and lightweight solution, XenoLidar-X addresses challenges centering on cost without compromising the performance requested by today's top OEMs.

The XenomatiX team has focused on delivering a future-proof sensor with a small and light design for easy integration. Integration has been an important element of the company's ongoing partnerships with Tier I automotive suppliers, like AGC, Marelli, Kautex and others to create a complete, customizable, modular and flexible LiDAR solution. Soon these partnerships will deliver LiDARs integrated into the windshield, rear window, grill, headlight, taillight, and bumper of the vehicle.

Although the automotive industry accounts for a large portion of XenomatiX’ customer base, its solid-state LiDARs have been introduced for smart cities and industrial and logistics applications. XenomatiX continues to see new opportunities in the road market and developed a Road LiDAR for road management applications and Pavement Management System (PMS).

‘‘Today we bring to the market a cost-effective, LiDAR solution in full preparation for mass-production,” said Filip Geuens, CEO of XenomatiX. The feedback we get from OEMs and Tier I suppliers indicates our product delivers a welcome fit to their concerns.’’
