Leuven MindGate partners up in new hybrid streaming studio in Leuven
Leuven MindGate partners up in a new hybrid streaming studio in the center of the city. Studio Henry is a place where the socio-cultural sector in Leuven can experiment with streaming and hybrid events. In this way, the public can be reached and involved physically and online at the same time.
On March 10th, Studio Henry was launched, a new hybrid streaming studio. Studio Henry is housed in the auditorium of the Leuven city library, which received a new technical upgrade for this purpose, and is the result of a close collaboration between Avansa Oost-Brabant, Cie Tartaren, Leuven MindGate, Het nieuwstedelijk and the Leuven library. These partners want to organize digital and hybrid meetings and are committed to a strong, high quality programming, focused on meeting and interaction.
Physical, digital and hybrid meetings
"With Studio Henry we increase the accessibility of a lot of activities from the non-profit and art and socio-cultural sectors," explains Denise Vandevoort, alderman for culture, tourism and events. "The studio fits entirely into the Leuven model of collaborating across different cultural domains. Given the current social context, where physical, digital and hybrid meetings will continue to play a role, this is a real added value."
Learning network
Studio Henry will be more than a convenient digital tool. "We combine the strengths of the various partners, each from our own perspective, expertise and network. In this way we are building a learning network. Through the diversity of everyone's operation we reach a wide audience," says Wim Oris of Cie Tartaren and chairman of the arts council in Leuven.
Studio Henry is now entering its first year of operation and is shared by the partner organizations. After a year of experimentation it will be examined whether the studio can be opened up to a broader audience.
