EASI once again 'Best Place to Work in Belgium'

18 March 2020

The Great Place to Work® Institute Belgium again announced Belgium's 20 Best Workplaces™. Leuven MindGate Premium Member Easi won the award for the sixth time in a row in the category 'fewer than 500 employees'. The company also won the Connective Leadership Award.

The foundations of EASI's unique corporate culture are share ownership, meritocracy and values (respect, responsibility, positive attitude, commitment). EASI's performance is even more impressive when two new CEOs took over the management of the company in 2019. The organisation also scores particularly high on questions such as 'management involves the employees in decisions' and 'management shows appreciation for extra commitment'. Giving people a lot of freedom and responsibility and at the same time asking them for a lot of input is in EASI's DNA. The management model is a combination of top-down and bottom-up approach.

The number 2, knowledge organisation AE, can also be proud that as a company they have been one of the Best Workplaces for 10 years. This business and ICT consultant considers employees to be the most important stakeholders in creating sustainable value. AE focuses on an ever-growing self-direction based on self-knowledge, self-awareness and self-determination.

The traditional award evening was replaced by a virtual award ceremony. "Great workplaces are characterised by a high degree of trust, pride and fun on the shop floor. The results are largely based on the opinions of employees in the companies involved," says Kristien Van Bruystegem, project manager at the Great Place to Work Institute, which conducts the survey annually in collaboration with Vlerick Business School and Jobat.

Amplexor also a winner

Since 2017, a certificate has also been awarded to those organisations that reach a certain minimum level for both surveys. Leuven MindGate member Amplexor has obtained such a certificate.
