Metaforum - Symposium Health and Care Professions of the Future
3000 Leuven
Show directions
What will health professions look like in 2040? How should care be organised?
Health care is changing rapidly. Personalised, multidisciplinary and multiprofessional treatment of patients is growing in importance. There are also profound changes in society: the population is ageing and becoming more culturally diverse. Patients have become more assertive, critical and informed. The growing number of chronically-ill patients is posing new societal challenges. Prevention is gaining importance. Technological developments, such as full genome sequencing and artificial intelligence, have drastically changed the landscape of health care.
