The International House Leuven is throwing open its doors to bring internationals and Leuvenaars together for a day of information, connection and AHA-moments.
Join us on 21 October to learn about Belgian culture, participate in workshops about living in Leuven and activities to help you create your home away from home.
Whether you have been in Leuven for 15 minutes or 15 years, there is something for you at Expatival 2023.
Expatival boasts excellent speakers, who have been through this before, or are savvy locals happy to share their wisdom about Belgian ways and thriving in Leuven.
There’ll be an art contest for kids, the opportunity to add your home-flag to the round the world decorations and answers to questions you didn’t even know you had!

Finding work, making friends, and navigating paperwork without your support system isn’t easy. But the International House Leuven (IHL) is here to help!
The IHL team knows Leuven like the back of their hand and understands the experience of being in a new place without a support system. They work throughout the year to help all internationals get settled and find connections. This year, ILH has decided to throw an extravaganza to celebrate the highs and lows of life as an international Leuvenaar: Expatival.
More than 20 sessions will provide information and exchange experiences about living, working, and raising a family in Leuven.

What is International House Leuven?
The IHL is here to help anyone who is making Leuven their new home away from home. The team can help provide information and guidance on getting settled, navigating admin and finding connection with others.
Started in 2017, the IHL is a non-profit set up in collaboration with the City of Leuven, Leuven Mindgate, and other local partners who all recognised the importance of helping internationals settle quickly and add to Leuven's vibrant melting pot.
