What you will do

You will be part of the team developing the next generation of Solhyd technology.

• You develop new products and improved generations of Solhyd technology.

  • You are responsible for the electrical and mechanical design and selection of components.
  • You build and test prototypes of your designs.
  • You contribute to the industrialization process: selection of suppliers and contract manufacturing, implementation of quality control, injection moulding and other manufacturing techniques, certification processes.

• You optimize designs and components based on real life testing of the technology.

  • You make revisions of product designs to improve functionality and performance.
  • you perform benchmark measurements and accelerated lifetime testing of mechanicaland electronic components.
  • You seek opportunities to reduce the total cost of goods (value engineering).

• You contribute to the daily operations of the entire Solhyd team. (We’re a startup, remember? Everybody helps everyone with everything!)

  • You contribute to production runs in periods of peak demand.
  • You build set-ups and tools to facilitate R&D or production activities.
  • You provide hands-on technical assistance from time to time.

You work independently but are part of the product development team and you report with the CTO.

Who you are

• You hold a degree with specialization in (electro)mechanical engineering, product development, electronics or similar.

• Preferably, you have experience with product development and product design software (3D CAD).

• Hands-on experience with industrial environments or assembly lines is a plus.

• Experience with FEA or CFD analyses is a plus.

• Experience with electrolyzer or other hydrogen technology is a big plus.

• You would like to work on an innovative and ambitious project that makes a sustainable contribution to the world.

• You like a challenge but are pragmatic and keep things simple whenever possible.

• You are practical and flexible enough to work on a range of different tasks. You love a dynamic startup environment which is constantly evolving.

• You communicate fluently in English (oral and written).
