What you will do

You will be a member of the Defect Inspection Engineer team (DIE) which is part of the Inspection and Metrology Characterization group (IMC). The IMC group is responsible for the metrology and defectivity process portfolio and tools and follows up processes under evaluation/validation for furture needs.

As process engineer in the DIE team, you will be responsible for tools and processes:

  • Process & tool qualification, monitor stability, implement improvements for improved quality and cycle time.
  • Troubleshooting defectivity related issues reported by the First Line Support which cannot be resolved by themselves.
  • Master requests for new applications and create the tool recipes.
  • Investigation of reocurring issues, focus on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
  • Collaborate in a dynamic multidisciplinary and multicultural environment in close cooperation with researchers, hardware engineers, operations, industry assignees, device and process experts.
  • You will work in two shifts (early/late) including one weekend out of four (Sa/Su), to support the 24h by 7d fab.

Who you are

  • You obtained a Master in Science or Engineering or equal by experience and display strong engineering skills and mindset.
  • Experience in a FAB environment is a strong asset.
  • You like to work autonomously, well organized, with good attention to detail and set high standards for quality.
  • You speak fluent English.
  • As you will work in cross functional teams, strong communication and reporting skills are required. You are a team player with strong drive to share your expertise and knowledge with colleagues. You strive to document and report.
