This requires a thorough approach and we count on you for the company-wide organisation of this "excellence in change".
Continuous improvement in systems – follow-up of procedures
From a central supporting role, you evaluate the efficiency of core processes in our internal organisation and take action to improve them. This involves, amongst other things, data collection for reporting on research results, personnel planning, logistics management of lab set-ups, event planning, competence management, etc.
You are responsible for preparing, drafting and implementing effective, high-quality procedures. You always advocate automation and solutions that make our organisation "lean" and "agile".
You will start with 3-5 concrete challenges for which an internal work group has been set up, and over which you will take operational charge. What we expect from you:
- You think along with the organisation and are a sparring partner for strategic, tactical and operational management;
- You gather information and document processes;
- You lead work groups focusing on process improvements and set up hands-on concrete actions yourself;
- You guide, involve and challenge all stakeholders (researchers, project leaders, department managers, board of directors);
- You act as a change agent and closely monitor the progress of ongoing actions;
- You communicate regularly and proactively, also when rolling out new tools and procedures;
- You develop a uniform approach for the entire internal organisation of Flanders Make vzw and report to the Operations Manager.
Communicative change agent for internal processes
You have:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in setting up, documenting and/or communicating on procedures, preferably within a project-driven organisation;
- Preferably experience in implementing new tools and drafting the functional requirements for them;
- Maturity, diplomacy and motivation that engages others;
- Strong digital skills and fluent user knowledge of MS Office;
- Interest in automation and smart IT solutions.

- Strong in providing creative input and in monitoring its implementation in a structured manner;
- Empathetic and eager to learn;
- Skilled in both the theory and practice of change management;
