Agnes is a scientist and entrepreneur. She was the CEO of Glycomine, a San Francisco based biotechnology company she founded to develop therapies for rare genetic disorders of protein glycosylation. Agnes has built and managed the company to secure over $40M in venture capital funding.
In the summer of 2019, Agnes permanently relocated to Leuven where she is working on building a life sciences start-up accelerator. Her focus is on helping scientists become entrepreneurs by leveraging her experiences in the trenches taking ideas to validated platform technologies. Agnes is passionate about using the intersection of biology, technology, and design to increase human healthspan and create methods to live sustainably.
She has worked on developing human therapeutics at large companies like Pfizer and BioMarin. Agnes received her PhD in chemistry and nanomedicine from Northeastern University (Boston, MA) and BS in chemistry and biology from University of Saint Joseph
(West Hartford, CT). Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and working out.
