Smart Fab Learning & Development Specialist (Temporary Assignment)
oneFab Learning & Development Expert will be responsible for analyzing capability needs, designing targeted learning strategies, and delivering effective training interventions to support individual and organizational growth. He/She will integrate the Program Change Management Office and work in close collaboration with internal Talent Development Department, to support oneFab Program Team and guide Business Representatives and Expert Users.
As Smart Fab Learning & Development Specialist, you will work hands-on to equip the organization with the knowledge and skills required to successfully adopt the Smart Fab Transformation.

- We're seeking a dynamic Learning & Development Specialist to support our Smart Fab Strategic Program, which aims to deploy Semi-Conductor 4.0 in imec. This role involves designing, delivering and coordinating the learning and development approach for this initiative.
- You will integrate the Smart Fab Program Transformation Office, working alongside Project Management, Change, Communication and Learning & Development. You will work under the guidance of internal Talent Development Experts (imec Academy). Your Learning & Development efforts will be part of a broader Change Management effort.
- The ideal candidate is a doer – someone who thrives on building practical tools and training experiences, ensuring learning is seamlessly embedded in project execution. You will work hands-on to build training materials, leveraging learning platforms and organize delivery methods that ensure all stakeholders are equipped for the transformation.
- Initially, the focus will be on the oneFab Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Program. You will assist the Program Team, Business Representatives and Expert Users to enhance over 1500 users’ capabilities on both software systems and new way of working. This will involve revising existing Learning Delivery Methods, Documentation and Platform, as well as refining the Train-the-Trainer Approach by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts.
- Your responsibilities cover the entire Learning & Development Cycle from assessing capability needs, designing learning strategies and curriculum, developing content, leveraging Learning Technology & Platforms, delivering training interventions to measuring Learning Effectiveness.
Required knowledge and skills
- You have education in Human Resources, Education, Communication, or a related field, with experience in a hands-on L&D role, preferably in a project or transformation setting. You are fluent in English; knowledge of French or Flemish is beneficial. You can engage and deliver in an international environment, with colleagues from all over the world.
- You have proven your capability in instructional material development and content design, understanding adult learning principles, curriculum development, and delivery methods (virtual/in-person). You can assess capability gaps and align learning strategies with business objectives. You are proficient with digital learning tools (e.g. Articulate, EasyGenerator) and platforms (e.g. Cornerstone) and can measure learning effectiveness.
- You possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Empowered by collaboration, influence and communication, you are practical and service-oriented, enjoy building, fixing, and improving. You actively look for feedback and are quick to adjust.
