What you will do

  • As member of the Silicon Photonics integration team, you are responsible for a streamlined project execution by interacting with your colleague integration engineers and process assistants but also with the device design, characterization, process development, metrology and defectivity engineers. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the process splits in the process flows and managing development activities with the fabrication facilities.
  • Write process flows for experiments, execute on advanced processes, inspect, and perform measurements.
  • You will be responsible for the planning, organizing and executing of experiments in imec’s 200mm cleanroom.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of lots from the fab and introduce into the line
  • You will follow-up on the processing of test material, collect and analyze data and present results.
  • Good communication and interaction within the Silicon Photonics Technology department as well as with the Fab operations unit, is a major requirement for this job.
  • You will operate from imec’s HQ located close to Brussels in the heart of Europe.

Who you are

  • You have obtained a Bachelor or Master degree, preferably combined with some relevant industrial experience (semiconductor process technology and development).
  • 2+ years of experience in semiconductor processing or integration.
  • Experience in Silicon Photonics integration or device engineering is a major advantage.
  • You have experience with JMP and Python.
  • You are an enthusiastic team player.
  • You can complete your tasks in time with minimal supervision.
  • You have excellent English communication skills.
