R&D Engineer Litho Process Development

As R&D Engineer Litho Process Development you will be a member of the LithoDev FBEOL Process Development team, part of the Advanced Patterning department, and be responsible for the optimization, standardization and creation of overlay metrology across multiple platforms compatible with all integration schemes.

What you will do

  • Developing high quality lithography processes for imec internal programs as well as customers using KrF, ArFi and EUV litho techniques
  • Designing, executing and analysing the experiments regarding litho process development.
  • Working together with the mask design team to generate lithography design rules and data for new test mask design and tape out.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with other engineering teams, such as integration, etch, CMP to ensure the successful integration of litho process control into the overall semiconductor manufacturing process.
  • Defining and executing process, equipment and material development projects with equipment and material suppliers in cross-functional and cross-company teams.
  • Documenting and transferring the lithography processes to the imec pilot production line.

Who you are

  • You have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
  • You have experience with semiconductor processing and working in a cleanroom.
  • Experience with advanced lithography (193nm immersion/EUV) is a plus.
  • You are well organized and eager to learn.
  • You have good technical problem-solving skills and are comfortable with multitasking.
  • You are an excellent communicator and have good reporting skills.
  • You are fluent in English.
