We're looking for a Finance Manager at Cumul.io.

Cumul.io is a Belgian & US-based technology company, with offices in New York, Leuven & Genk. We serve 250+ clients with a team of 40+ people spread globally. We provide a low-code platform for data analysis with seamless integration into other SaaS platforms or applications. Founded in 2015 Cumul.io answers the increasing demand for easy and accessible data analysis tools and integrations. Cumul.io’s headquarter is in Leuven, Belgium with a subsidiary in New York, USA. Cumul.io operates with 2 legal entities: the Belgian Cumul.io NV and the US daughter Cumul.io Inc.

What you will do:

The position will provide financial support to the whole organisation based in Leuven and New York. The fundamental associated tasks will be:

• Ensure all financial transactions are correctly executed for both legal entities : invoicing, reception and scanning of incoming invoices, treatment of expense notes, …

• Ensure close debtor follow up and correct payment to suppliers

• Ensure correct financial and tax reporting of all monthly, quarterly and yearly results including consolidation of the 2 entities and standardized reporting to all stakeholders

• Ensure correct analytical allocation of costs and subsequent analysis to provide insights into the income and cost drivers for the company

• Monitor cash evolution and take appropriate corrective action

• Ensure adequate budgeting and forecasting processes

• Support the different departments by providing adequate financial analyses and identifying areas for improvement

• Manage the insurance portfolio for the company

• Be the first point of contact for the outside accountant, tax consultants, banks and insurance brokers

• Manage financial projects e.g. transfer pricing documentation, innovation support, subsidy requests, revenue recognition, …

The key requirements for the job are:

• A masters degree in finance or economics

• A minimum of 5 years experience in a finance or audit role

• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, team player

• Entrepreneurial drive, desire to operate in a rapidly evolving SaaS scale-up environment

• Excel and/or Google Sheets expert

• Working knowledge of Dutch and English

• Willing to occasionally travel to the US

The job is based in the Leuven office and you are expected to work on-site on a regular basis (2d/w). The other days you can work remotely.
