The Accounting group of the KULeuven which is one of the leading accounting schools in Europe has several vacant Phd positions in the domain of auditing, governance and accounting valuation.
Our mission is to pursue top-quality research and education in the field of Auditing, Governance and Accounting. In line with the candidate’s interest and in collaboration with the Phd committee, the candidate will develop the specific content of his/her research project. Examples of potential vacant projects include:
- The effectiveness of the extended audit reporting,
- Audit committee reporting
- Study of audit market structure effects
- Diversity in the board of directors
- Study of the drivers of intellectual property valuation.
Our PhD education consists of a 4-year full-timeprogram that offers the training necessary to engage in high-quality research.We provide a collaborative and supportive research environment which offers the opportunity to students to spend time abroad for conferences or a longer researchstay. Students will develop the theoretical and methodological skills required to participate and publish at the highest standards of theinternational scientific accounting community.
The candidate should have a profound interest in doing research, be highly creative and should have finished a master degree in Business, Economics or related area with distinction. Excellent English language skills are also a must.

We offer an employment as full-time PhD researcher for 1 year, renewable till 4 years after positive evaluation.
