The Leuven Region

Looking for a place to work, live, love, and play? You've come to the right spot!
Watch the video testimonials of 'International Leuvenaars' below to discover what's in it for you!

Leuven MindGate is one of the world's prime regions for health, high-tech and creativity. A region with a unique ecosystem of companies cooperating with knowledge institutions and the government, creating a perfect breeding ground for companies, entrepreneurs, investors, and talent. Simply put, a great place to study, work, and live.

Leuven MindGate, the organization, works to keep this ecosystem flourishing by bringing all the stakeholders together and pushing new initiatives. We seek to strengthen what’s already here and to put the region even more on the international map. This works in both directions: encouraging foreign investment and partnerships as well as helping Leuven companies take their business beyond our borders. We also want to attract international talent by getting the word out and by supporting our members to hire and retain international talent.

That’s where this project comes in. Together with our partner organizations, Leuven MindGate is committed to spreading the word about the fantastic opportunities on offer in our region. We’re here to tell you - and to show you - all the reasons you should consider becoming a Leuvenaar. And who better to tell you all the reasons than international Leuvenaars themselves? Below you can find all their testimonials.

Leuven MindGate and the City of Leuven have already transformed ideas about how we can be a great city for international talent into concrete support. Together we've created the city's International House. The House is a figurative online platform that's a one-stop shop of English-language resources.

But it's also a physical space within the city center that's an information, knowledge and service center for internationals and their families, and for organizations in the Leuven region employing international talent. It provides support relative to relocation, social integration, living and working in the Leuven region, as well as regular information sessions and social activities.
