Internationals in Leuven - Anita Kandel

Together with our partner organizations, Leuven MindGate is committed to spreading the word about the fantastic opportunities our region has to offer. We’re here to tell you - and to show you - all the reasons you should consider becoming a Leuvenaar. And who better to tell you all the reasons than international Leuvenaars themselves?

A Nepalese expat who fell in love with Leuven

Born and brought up in the land of the Himalayas, Nepal, Anita graduated with a degree in Information and Media from Tokyo City University in 2009. After gaining some experience in the Education and Financial media sector and having moved to the UK, she shifted to the healthcare sector.

She and her family moved to Leuven in 2017, and their youngest son, Aaron, was born soon after. They all love Leuven and it truly feels like their 'HOME' away from home.

Currently, Anita works as the 'Client Satisfaction Officer' at Expat & Co., which specializes in providing insurance solutions for Expats and International students.
