Are you looking for concrete ways to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and respect Palestinian human rights within your organisation? The city of Leuven is pleased to invite you to an inspiring and interactive encounter with Omar Barghouti, Palestinian human rights activist and founder of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement.
You’ll hear about practical tools and strategies to effectively apply the non-violent, democratic principles of the BDS Movement in your policies and procedures.
What can you expect?
- An introduction to BDS, including its ethical and legal foundations
- Real-world tips for integrating BDS principles in purchasing policy, programming, partnerships, and communication
- Inspiring examples of organizations that have successfully employed BDS
- Time for questions, discussion, and sharing experiences
- A networking moment for informal exchanges.
- Explanation of new initiatives by the Leuven Coalition for Palestine
