In the mid 1970s the Swiss watch industry was considered moribund, having missed out on the quartz revolution and been brought to its knees by economic crises. Forty years later, it is clear that it succesfully managed its structural reconversion to become a key pillar at the Swiss economy, and that its products without doubt set the standard by which all others are measured.

Jean-Claude Biver (born September 20, 1949 in Luxembourg) is the CEO of TAG HEUER since December 2014 and CEO, board member and shareholder of Hublot, a Swiss luxury watchmaker. Mr. Biver has been appointed president of the Watches Division, LVMH Group in January 2014, and overviews Hublot, TAG HEUER and Zenith companies.
