The Province of Flemish Brabant, KU Leuven, Leuven MindGate and DSP Valley welcome representatives from Upstate South Carolina, one of the most advanced manufacturing areas of the US East Coast, to the Provincial House in Leuven on Wednesday, May 8th at 11:30.
Join us for a mid-day discussion on increasing business between Flanders and the Southeastern US.
BMW’s largest manufacturing facility in the world, Michelin’s North American headquarters and facilities for Toray composites, Lockheed Martin and others are located in the Upstate region of South Carolina, close to Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. In addition to its natural beauty, the area is known for its trained workforce, strong business eco-system and strength in the sectors of automotive, life sciences, aerospace and engineered materials.

The group is visiting Flanders primarily to assist and inform companies considering expanding business into the US. The representatives can speak knowledgeably about startup/scaleup issues, important markets, state and local government incentives, land and labor costs, export and other issues. Apart from the mid-day discussion on May, 8th a limited number of private meeting times are available for those wishing to meet one-on-one with the representatives on May, 6th, 7th and the 8th.
