Come to our Lcie-event on Thursday October 24 and discover your inner entrepreneur.
Questions about entrepreneurship? You’ve got an idea, but don’t know how to make it happen? Are you looking for counseling, team members or a workplace? Or would you like to help or inspire colleagues or students yourself? Lcie supports students, researchers and professors in all entrepreneurial aspects.
After the successful edition last year, this edition promises to be even more inspiring! We start with the Lcie startup fair where young companies, KU Leuven spin-offs and Lcie teams will show you the future! Afterwards, we have 3 interesting keynotes in store for you. To end the evening, you have the chance to further explore the Startup Fair and be part of the network event while enjoying tasty drinks and food!
16u00: Opening Startup Fair
18u00: Keynotes ***In English*** (Fair will be closed)
- Joris De Koninck – Founder Kayzr
Joris from Kayzr has a clear mission: facilitate e-sports to local gamers. That’s why they designed an online platform where you can organize competitions, form teams and challenge one another. As big gaming fans, Joris and his co-founder saw a huge gap between simply playing with friends and taking part in big international esports competitions. Their ambition? Conquer the world with Kayzr!
- Katrien Herdewyn – Founder Elegnano
As a 4 year old Katrien was already building a shoe shop in front of the garage. After she graduated as a civil engineer with a master’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the University of Leuven, it didn’t catch us by surprise that she started Elegnano. This high-end shoe label combines fashion and technology! Next to the commercial shoe collection, Elegnano also offers a consulting service that assists fashion companies wanting to get ready for the future.
- Jonathan Cornelissen – Founder DataCamp
DataCamp offers interactive courses on data science, statistics and machine learning via a handy online platform. A great success which started back in 2014 and managed to grow in a fast way, DataCamp now has more than 3.7 million learners around the world. As one of the first teams that Lcie supported, they definitely could not miss out on the Lcie event!
Around 19.45, after the keynotes, you’ll be able to explore the fair further while enjoying tasty drinks and food.
