High Level Forum another step in putting Leuven on the international map

5 October 2017

Last week, representatives of Leuven MindGate attended the High Level Forum in Montreal, Canada, organised by Grenoble GIANT. Many leading innovative ecosystems from all over the world gathered for cross-border talks and sessions about innovation and smart living. Leuven MindGate is the first Belgian ecosystem to receive an invitation for the High Level Forum.

With the Smart City project and the Shaping Future City Life creed of and&, this year's central theme at the High Level Forum was right down Leuven MindGate's alley. So much even, that Leuven MindGate (with a capital 'G') President Gilbert Declerck featured as a panelist in a discussion about what the impact of a Smart Society will be on an Innovation Ecosystem.

Leuven MindGate had talks with representatives from all the ecosystems present at the High Level Forum. Many bilateral contacts were made. Especially Lund, Tampere and Oxford showed an interest in a future cooperation or exchange with the Leuven MindGate ecosystem.

The next High Level Forum will be organised in Grenoble in 2018.
