The objective of the postdoc position will be to evaluate the potential of graphene to improve MTJ properties (Tunnel Magneto-Resistance, retention, switching current densities) at LAB scale, and to enable innovative solution for genuine FAB processing of 2D-MTJs. The second aspect of the topic will be to explore large spin-orbit effects of TMDC to improve spin-orbit torques (SOT) and voltage torque (VT) based MRAM.
This position will involve algorithm refinements on neural networks, so that these can be mapped optimally on non-volatile memory fabrics. This will involve verification of system-level choices related to neural network topology and precision. This verification will be performed using state-of-the-art image classification benchmarks, such as ImageNet and also locally available classification test cases. As such, very good knowledge of neural network theory is required, along with substantial experience in deep learning tools such as Theano/Lasagne, Torch, or Tensorflow.

The microwave transceiver that can operate over a very wide frequency range is one of the most critical parts of such systems. In addition, standard CMOS technologies are used to reduce the cost of manufacturing and system integration. However, the lossy substrate in CMOS process makes the wideband design even more challenging. In this project, a CMOS microwave transceiver covering a frequency range of approximately 5-40GHz will be developed. This wideband microwave transceiver will also be tested in the real applications.
